Take Root #40

 Day 40

2 Peter 3:17-18

"17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unscrupulous people and lose your own firm commitment, 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen."

Congratulations!... You completed the 40 day challenge.

And Peter sends us off by saying - Be on your guard! … Keep your head on a swivel because there are those who would deceive you.  Peter was aware of the consequences for misinterpreting scripture as he points out it leads to the destruction of the one who does so he warns us not to fall into that category.

He refers to no losing your firm commitment and being carried away. You can’t sit stagnant. You must grow in grace and knowledge.  You are either killing sin or it is killing you. So be on your guard…stay on offense and learn to handle the word like and expert swordsman.

My assignment until I am called home is to learn more each day…and learn to handle what I know better each day, and always remember it is about Him not me.

Now choose another book in the bible – grab some brothers and continue the habit of being BOLD in scripture every day.
